Is it possible for a truck to be comfortable, easy to drive, and still maintain its toughness? To find out, the guys select their favorite no-expense-spared light duty truck and put them to the test in a series of escalating challenges to determine if they can perform both car and truck duties. They meet up in the San Gabriel Mountains, Rutledge picks a 2014 Toyota Tundra Crewmax 1794 Edition 4x4 due to its off road credentials and rear legroom, Tanner drives a 2014 Ford F150 Super Crew King Ranch 4x4 due to its torquey engine and practical rear end and Adam chooses a 2014 Ram 1500 Sport Cab 4x4 due to its gearbox and V8 Engine. Tanner and Adam criticise Rut for picking a Toyota in an American Truck showdown however Rut points out that the Tundra was built in Texas, Rut and Adam criticise Tanner as his Truck has 6cylinder but Tanner points out that it produces 420 ft lps of torque and Tanner and Rut criticise Adam for picking the smallest truck with the worst rear end by far but Adam points out that the workers drive the F150 and the Tundra and the Boss drives the Ram.

Top Gear USA's fourth series was the first season of the show to exceed 16 episodes in total, making it the longest total series of Top Gear USA in total. Top Gear USA->ke3704 is finally back for its Season 4 premiere this Tuesday, September 3rd at 8pm on History Channel. The season looks outstanding, starting off with a bang via a top speed run through the Eisenhower Tunnel in Colorado in a McLaren->ke284, Lamborghini ->ke44 and SRT Viper.
This high-budget thrill-ride of a television show maintains the production values, incredible locations/filming methods, and finally the creativity to successfully re-launch the series with American tastes in mind. This season: out goes the boring Big Star Small Car and studio shoots - and in goes even more awesome driving action.
Rutledge, Tanner and Adam almost could not be more different, but over the first three seasons, a real bond is forming among them that is funny and entertaining to enjoy. Watching the show makes you feel like one of the gang, and the guys are all very social in reality on Twitter and in the blogs.
This season, hosts Tanner Foust, Rutledge Wood and Adam Ferrara will participate in a selection of different challenges such as a race coast-to-coast from New York to Los Angeles in their favourite supercars! They include the Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale, 2013 SRT Viper and the McLaren 12C!
Top Gear is a popular US automobile-related series adapted from an eponymous BBC series. It has been on the air since 2010, with the current eighth season having premiered on April 26, 2016. Top Gear is presented by actor and comedian Adam Ferrara, pro racer Tanner Foust, auto and racing analyst Rutledge Wood and an anonymous racing driver. The series is produced by BBC Worldwide Productions with Patrick Costello, Nat Grouille, Travis Shakespeare, Russ McCarroll and Jim Pasquarella serving as the executive producers.
In the beginning of the series' run its format closely followed that of the original British show. The secret race car driver tested cars, and celebrity guests were invited to drive vehicles, participated in challenges and gave interviews. Unlike the British version, the American series then incorporated a segment related to automobile customization and restoration, due to the fact that there is great interest in this matter in the USA. Starting with season 3 this element became the main focus of the show.
Top Gear has earned a 5.1/10 IMDb score indicating mixed reviews, and has originally premiered to 1.9 million viewers. The current season opened to 1.076 million viewers with a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demo. While the ratings are not as high as they were in the beginning, the show has a stable fan base that is not giving up on the show. We may very well see another season of the popular series, so please stay tuned for the relevant news.
UPDATED June 30, 2016: The spin-off of the UK Top Gear series, which was, up until the current season, a truly cult program, but is experiencing serious ratings issues in its revamped version, Top Gear USA has also been struggling this season. As a result, History made a decision not to commission the series for a ninth season. The series creators' have expressed their gratitude to the network, and are currently looking for another channel to partner with and continue their commitment to the Top Gear format. Last week FilmGear had the pleasure of lighting up an episode for The CW hits series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. Local 728 gaffer Don Mazi Mitchell used our F18 light for a scene shot in Altadena, CA. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend's fourth and final season is set to premiere on The CW on October 12, 2018, and will consist of 18 episodes.
We're deep in the second season of the Yankee Top Gear, yet avid Top Gear critics still decry it for the original Redcoat version, with some harsher ones comparing it to the Beatles staying in England and hiring random guys to play their hits here. It's a pointless debate; while TG:USA draws heavily from the UK playbook, those same critics would complain even more if it didn't. And the American version already has its genius moments, such as ballasting a Chevy Corvair using copies of "Unsafe At Any Speed."
Sure in the second season, Top Gear USA did good business for the History channel. There is no doubting that. I am sure the History channel execs are pleased with the 1.9 million estimated viewers. For History Top Gear USA represented a 24-percent increase in audience size for Adults 18-49. Essentially this mean that this is the youngest audience ever for the History channel. (That's sad people!)
Even with History channel's success with Top Gear USA's second season, I highly doubt it will continue to grow. Being among the coveted young demographic that History is so keen on, I realized something... most 20-30 year-olds, don't have cable. Those that do most, don't even watch it much.

MIAMI, Fla. -- An historic season for the Florida Atlantic University women's soccer team came to a close on Wednesday as the Owls came up just short in the Conference USA Tournament, falling to Old Dominion 2-1 in Miami.
FAU senior Claire Emslie sparked a rally in the closing minutes and took sole possession of FAU's all-time goals scored mark as she scored in the 87th minute on an assist by Sammy Rowland to cut the lead to 2-1. Emslie's 29th career goal breaks a 21-year old record as the Scotland native also broke the single-season shots record with her 76th strike of the year.
Allison Vernerey added 11 points and Krystal Thomas had 13 rebounds for Duke, which improved to 7-3 against Top 25 opponents and claimed a share of the regular-season title with Miami (No. 14 ESPN/USA Today, No. 12 AP). The top seed went to the Blue Devils for the second straight year and ninth time in school history based on their 82-58 rout of the Hurricanes on Feb. 3.
North Carolina lost its third straight at Cameron, and this marked the third straight year that the rivals located 8 miles apart split their regular-season series. The Tar Heels slipped to 1-4 since beating the Blue Devils 20 days earlier, and that slump cost them a chance at a first-round bye, so now they'll have to win four games in four days to win the ACC tournament.
Michigan State hit three home runs - two from the bat of sophomore Kaitlyn Eveland to tie a school record - as the Spartans took the back end of a doubleheader against Penn State on Saturday, 11-3 in five innings. MSU is now 20-12 on the season (4-4 Big Ten) heading into the Sunday series finale against the Nittany Lions (1 pm).
Eveland homered in the first (a three-run shot) and had a solo homer in the third, and Lea Foerster hit her team-best ninth of the season in the bottom of the fifth with one out, ending the game with a three-run homer for the final 11-3 margin. Bridgette Rainey earned her 11th win of the season by scattering five hits and striking out five.
MSU took an early lead, as Eveland hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the first inning, her fourth of the season. In the top of the third, Penn State rallied to tie the score at 3-3. After a leadoff double by Rebecca Ziegler and a one-out walk to Brackpool, a single by Tori Dubois brought home Ziegler for the first Nittany Lion run. Toni Polk's single to right brought home the two baserunners to knot the game at 3-3.Eveland's second homer, a solo shot, came in the bottom of the third. She shares the school record of a two-homer game with 21 others, including current teamates Lea Foerster (vs. Western Illinois, March 20 2016) and Sarah Gutknecht (vs. Rutgers, April 29, 2016).In the bottom of the fourth, Kelcey Carrasco ripped a two-RBI single to center that scored Melanie Baccay and Ebonee Echols to make it 6-3. Eveland followed that up with a single to right that moved Carrasco to third, but the Spartans couldn't get any more across. The Spartans looked to add to their lead in the fifth, and exploded for five runs to end the game early. McKenzie Long and Lexi White delivered back-to-back singles, and Lindsey Besson walked to load the bases. Melanie Baccay delivered a single up the middle that scored two, and chased pitcher Jessica Cummings, who started the inning in a relief effort. Madison Siefert came in to face the top of the order with two on and none out, and Lea Foerster emptied the bases with a three-run homer that ended the game due to the eight-run rule. 781b155fdc
